Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and growth-oriented Senior Accountant to support our financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to support informed decision-making and ensure the financial health of our manufacturing plant. You will be trained to manage key financial functions, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis, while ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and our overseas head office to drive operational efficiency and achieve the company’s financial objectives.
This position is designed with a clear growth path to develop into the Chief Accountant for our U.S. operations.

What will you do?
- Group Financial Controller and support the execution of finance department responsibilities, including the monitoring of internal controls, policies, budgeting processes, training initiatives, and regular assessments of financial procedures.
- Perform core financial management duties such as generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends, and evaluating the company’s financial health.
- Assist in preparing financial documentation, including forecasts and status reports, to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop a strong understanding of the manufacturing process and monitor cost structures and profitability metrics.
- Prepare and submit monthly financial reports, forecasts, and statements, ensuring timely delivery of the reporting package to headquarters by the first week of each month.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations, ensure tax compliance, and manage statutory audits under IFRS and US GAAP.
- Assist in ERP system implementation, upgrades, and continuous improvements tailored to the needs of the manufacturing operations.
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and validate annual budgets against actual performance, identifying root causes of variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Oversee compliance with financial covenants related to the company’s credit facilities.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive management to support strategic planning and operational decisions.
- Act as a liaison between the company and stakeholders on financial matters to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
- Support strategic business planning through financial analysis and forecasting.
- Handle other ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Group Financial Controller.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting, or a related field. CPA qualification is an added advantage.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and statutory taxation; experience with IFRS and transfer pricing documentation is a plus.
- Prior audit experience with a Big 4 or reputable accounting firm is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with INFOR ERP is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Responsive and consistent in addressing ad-hoc requests from management and stakeholders.
