Your Role as Community Director:

As Community Director, you’ll lead efforts to grow, engage, and activate a thriving member base—delivering value for both the community and brand partners. You’ll oversee strategies, insights, and programs that turn connection into conversion and community into a true competitive advantage.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Community Growth & Engagement

  • Develop and execute omni-channel (email, site, socials) and cross-platform (web, mobile app) strategies to expand our community, attract new members and strengthen relationships with existing ones.
  • Create and manage engaging content, programs, and experiences that drive participation and advocacy.
  • Oversee community communications, including newsletters, etc.
  • Establish and optimize onboarding experiences to ensure new members become active participants.

🔹 Community Measurement & Optimization

  • Define and monitor KPIs to track growth, health, and brand campaign impact
  • Use analytics and CRM tools to continuously improve performance and track member experience

🔹 Community Insights & Innovation

  • Leverage member feedback and behaviors to inform client campaigns and internal strategy
  • Develop initiatives that use the community for co-creation, testing, and innovation

🔹 Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor a Community Manager
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Product, Marketing) to amplify community-driven value
  • Serve as an internal advocate for community thinking and programming

 

 

What You Need to Succeed:

âś” Key Competencies:

  • Strategic thinker with strong data fluency and marketing creativity
  • Analytical mindset with a systems-thinking approach
  • Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator
  • Proficient with dashboards, CRM platforms, and analytics tools

âś” Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years leading and scaling online communities
  • Experience in consumer marketing, community platforms, or client-facing campaign work
  • Bonus: Background with marketplaces, sampling, or content creation platforms
